Abstract
The article presents an attempt to comprehend the notion of ‘turbulent times’ as a challenge toexisting social order and it value and normative base in the frames of the concept of ‘all-embracingrisk society’. The defi nition of the notion of ‘turbulent times’ is given, key causes and actors arerevealed, and the ways of how sociology should respond to this global challenge are considered.
