Abstract

The article examines legal awareness of Russian judges as the most important actor of institution of the judiciary, on the condition of which the functioning of the entire Russian state largely depends. This not only examines the attitude of judges to the field of law, but also the idea about the legal consciousness of citizens. Legal consciousness of judges and citizens is compared as two social groups interacting in the field of law is compared. A method for calculating social empathy of judges is proposed. The question about the relationship between the individual social empathy of judges and other variables is raised.
